{"id":203,"date":"2008-05-01T03:11:04","date_gmt":"2008-05-01T03:11:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rux-werx-here.net\/rwh_v3\/?p=203"},"modified":"2016-03-07T16:35:40","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T16:35:40","slug":"loop-r-looop-r","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rux-werx-here.net\/rwh_v3\/mogwai\/loop-r-looop-r","title":{"rendered":"Loop-R &#038; looop-r"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/2768408?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0&amp;color=ffffff&amp;autoplay=1\" width=\"940\" height=\"705\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Loop-R (2004) is a real-time video performance tool based in the exploration of low-tech, used technology and human factors research.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of this project was to create an intuitive and responsive interface for live visual performances using off-the-shelf components and &#8216;mis-used&#8217; technology. <\/p>\n<p>GUI and physical controls are merged into one interface taking advantage of the best each has to offer and combine them using natural mappings and spatial organization.<br \/>\nActions have direct access controls (with no intermediate menus!) and an appropriate gestures are allowed by matching their nature with the sensor&#8217;s affordances and constraints.<br \/>\nWhile encompassing a huge range of control and possibilities of media manipulation the interface keeps its simplicity and can be quickly (and literally!) grasped.<\/p>\n<p>Features include:<\/p>\n<li> direct access to video loops through their thumbnails,<\/li>\n<li> physical  controllers for in-out edit points,<\/li>\n<li> speed and direction in one control, <\/li>\n<li> dedicated controllers effect parameters, <\/li>\n<li> automation of effect parameters through oscillators, <\/li>\n<li> video deck routing (wet \/ dry),<\/li>\n<li> 7 mix modes including luma and chroma key with 2d map color picker,<\/li>\n<li> tap tempo<\/li>\n<li> &#8230; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/3822875?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0&amp;color=ffffff&amp;autoplay=0\" width=\"940\" height=\"635\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><\/br><br \/>\nlooop-r (2007) is the second generation of a hardware-software hybrid interface for live visuals performance.<\/p>\n<p>looop-r platform is currently running two software versions : VJ and A+V (AudioVisual).
